The people that make all this possible

The NILS scheme is a shining example of what can be acheived when Government, community, commerce and philanthropy all work together.

The Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services & Indiginous Affairs together with the National Australia Bank have set up this scheme which is administered by Good Shepherd Microfinance, it operates in all States.

Because funds available to operate the local branches are limited, each branch has to do additional fund raising in order to meet essential costs. So, in addition to the familiar sausage sizzles and other local events, Hills NILS rely on charitable trusts.

We are extremely grateful to the following organisations who have generously provided financial support.

The Rotary Club of Emerald & District

Nell Mitchell (Cockatoo) Opp. Shop

The Besen Family Foundation

The Collier Charitable Fund

The Flora & Frank Leith Charitable Fund

The Caring Women's Group (Menzies Creek)

These acknowledgements would not be complete without acknowledging all the hard work given by our trusty band of volunteers, without whom we could acheive very little.

Sincere thanks also, to Cardinia-Casey Health Service for the use of their facilities and to ECHO Youth & Family Services for their help in managing our financial resources.
